Venice Photo's

Alright, I’ve uploaded the photo’s taken in Venice last August. There is a special album for venetian masks as well! These are made mostly for tourists and show; the Venetians don’t wear these, their masks are mostly plain. They do have colorful make-up, but that is applied directly to the skin, not to the mask. Still, those masks look pretty cool, so that’s why they’re included.

When in Venice I also went to the Biennale, the major contemporary art festival that takes place every other year. Some of it was total crap, some of it actually was impressive, particularly Spain. The Biennale photo’s are not yet online.

Well, you can find them all here.

New Zealand

It’s now exactly one year ago that I left home and went to New Zealand. It’s strange how that now seems like a dream, something from another life really. Looking out the window at the grey sky, it seems unbelievable that I really was there not all that long ago, a feeling I’m sure everybody who has been on a journey like this knows.

I also thought that one year since my departure would be a good time to finally put my finished photo’s online. I’ve stitched panorama’s together, enhanced colors, lightened, darkened, cropped, added photo’s, ditched photo’s, and now you can finally see my efforts. So check out the gallery now. I’m also well on my with the photo’s from Venice, and I’ve been to Berlin recently. So stay tuned.

Site Maintenance

You may or may not have noticed it (probably not), but I’ve done some maintanence recently. I’ve updated all the software. This really doesn’t mean anything for you, but I had to write something since it’s been almost three months. I had really hoped to upgrade the gallery to make this site look even cooler than it already is but I’m afraid it didn’t work out.

The only thing you may notice now is that the commercial ads are now no longer in the sidebar but at the bottom of every page. They’ll show on the gallery as well now, wich is a huuuuge advantage seeing how nobody clicks them anyway no matter where they are located ;) The thing is, they actually are pretty relevant 3 out of 10 times so you may wanna click them every once in a while. Keeps me going you know, being a poor student and all ;)
