Right, I’m done with the photo’s from Val. You can find them in the gallery, as usual. It’s not much, 27 made it through, but it’s all I got I’m afraid. I’m not done with the ones from New Zealand yet.
I’m also going to Venice in a week! Let’s hope that that will net some better results.

Following up on my last post, July hasn’t brought any good weather either. It was wretched, in Switzerland as well as back here. There have been periods without rain but they were few and far between, though it seems Switzerland has enjoyed some nice weather over the past week. Let’s hope August, at least, has something nice for us.
I’m busy post-processing the photo’s now, though this year’s crop is meager. I’m still (yes, still) busy with the New Zealand ones, it just takes a while.

My nostrils fill with fresh air after the grime and filth has all been washed away. Washed away by thunderstorms that is. The wind rustles through the trees, clouds, laden with more than just foreboding, are coming my way. The forest floor is covered in a carpet of brown leaves. No, this is not some story about an autum far away and long ago. It’s summer, here and now.
On a sidenote, the travel count-down on the right shows only one day remaining before we set off again to Switzerland. The weather there’s not too good either. Better leave those Beach Boys lp’s at home boys, ’cause this endless summer brings only endless rain.

This is my travel history. I’ll update this post everytime I have the chance, so you’ll know where I was even if I don’t have the time to write an entire post with all the details. Cheers!

I forgot to mention yesterday that we have to leave Kahoe Farms today. It’s hard saying farewell to all our new friends we’ve made here and give up the easy, slow-paced lifestyle we’ve adapted to. We’ve already stretched our stay by one more night but now we really have to leave, because we’re going to start a five day scuba dive course tomorrow. Yep, that’s right! It includes all theoretical stuff, a few pool sessions to get used to breathing underwater and four open-water dives at the Poor Knights Islands, according to Jacques Cousteau one of the top-ten diving locations in the world. After we complete this course we’ll be able to buy or rent scuba diving gear all over the world and dive without the supervision of an instructor. I’ll keep you posted!
